BLEECH 9:3 CANNONBALL
‘Cannonball’ is the new single from Dublin quartet Bleech 9:3. On their third single, the band offer a piece of two halves. The verses are atmospheric and tense, with an edge of post-rock about them. The chorus that bursts to life between verses is heavy and metallic, with a soaring hook finding its way through the grit. “It was written down the back of Sam’s house one day after we had spent a few hours there doing recovery-related work,” says Baz Quinlan. “To me, it’s a reflection of how bad worship in the form of a lover had made love itself into something else, a moment of clarity is found at its ending which maybe shows the recovery work was doing its magic.” Keep an eye out for more from Bleech 9:3 in what is sure to be an explosive 2026. -Dan Peeke
